Delighted audience didn’t let the musicians leave the stage, and as a token of gratitude they played three compositions by Russian composers Petr Tchaikovsky and Modest Mussorgsky.

International festival “Musica Maxima” in Gornji Grad. “Russian Paganini” Maxim Fedotov is in Zagreb again.

The first day of the festival was genuine triumph of amazing technique and virtuosity of marvelous family duet – famous violinist Maxim Fedotov and pianist Galina Petrova. At the beginning of the program brilliant musician, genius of sound, Maxim Fedotov joined Zagreb Chamber Orchestra. The violin in Fedotov’s hands like human voice is able to reach absolute freedom of artistic thought and image incarnation. Compositions by Johann Sebastian Bach, the great “elect of music art” played by Fedotov sounded with special “magnetic” power subjecting audience to his irresistible charm. The piano joined clinking tone of the violin, and Galina Petrova’s performance made the public not only listen, but live the whole composition. The duet of virtuosos managed to inflate the music with sense and sensuality, and grateful public tactfully reacted on the beauty of Bach’s compositions, feeling the colour with which the composer endowed them.
