The fact is that when performing Concerto No.l by Paganini Maxim Fedotov showed not only outer effects and doubtless violin technique. Even in the most complex parts, in the big cadence of the first movement for example, he managed to produce cantabile execution of the melody preserving absolutely clear intonation.

When listening to the execution, one might understand why Franz Schubert heard the "song of an Angel" in the Adagio. The audience, that overfilled the hall, heartly welcomed the artist. Maxim Fedotov's performance of Concerto by Paganini was followed with Caprice in E-dur, Op.l No.9, produced the exclusive mood of the concert.
